Twenty two winners across the sector were crowned tonight at this year’s Museums + Heritage Awards ceremony in London.
Taking place at London’s Hilton Park Lane, the night was hosted by paleoanthropologist and stand-up comic Ella Al-Shamahi.
Among the awards at this year’s ceremony was the Innovator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year award and the recently introduced Team of the Year award, which was presented to National Museums Liverpool’s Housekeeping Team.

Anna Preedy, director of Museums + Heritage Awards commented: “What tonight reminds us — more than ever — is that collaboration and inclusivity are not just buzzwords. They’re the foundation of everything that’s good in this sector.
“The best projects we’ve seen this year don’t just serve audiences; they co-create with them. They challenge the status quo. They invite everyone in and are truly inspirational for future generations.”
