Our story
Museums + Heritage, often known simply as M+H, is a business that has been at the centre of connecting the world of museums, galleries and heritage visitor attractions since 1991.
We understand the sector, we know the movers and shakers and over the years we have successfully grown our reach and strengthened our influence, to ensure that we are best placed to help.
The Museums + Heritage Show kick-started M+H all those years ago and is now firmly established as the sector’s flagship event. Free to attend, the Show brings together thousands of museum professionals, connecting them with each other and with expert suppliers and consultants. It is widely regarded as a ‘must do’ for anyone working in this sector.
Next came the Museums + Heritage Awards, which were launched in 2002. Often referred to as the Oscars of the museums world, M+H Awards have seen many of the world’s greatest museums feature on its shortlist. From the British Museum to the Met in New York, from Sydney Maritime Museum to Edinburgh Museums – large, small, national, regional they’ve all featured.
As well as our flagship events, we are the proud publishers of Museum + Heritage Advisor, the sector’s only independent online magazine and directory. As publishers of this vital resource, we are at the heart of the museums network and the go-to place for breaking news, thought-provoking editorial and all the latest developments in the world of museums and heritage organisations.
