C’Art Art Transport receives lifeline grant from Culture Recovery Fund

C’Art Art Transport Ltd is one of over 400 heritage organisations across the country set to receive a lifesaving financial boost, courtesy of the government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund

445 organisations will share £103 million to help kick-start vital reconstruction work and maintenance on cherished heritage sites, keeping venues open and supporting those working in the sector.

C’Art Art Transport Ltd has been awarded a grant of up to £353,300, which managing director and owner Wayne Partridge says will allow the firm to “re-adapt to the current economic climate and changes brought about by the pandemic”.

C’Art was established over 35 years ago and specialises in the transport, storage and installation of art, craft and design works. The company has built up an extensive network of national and international clients over this time and has consistently been able to provide an experienced, personal service to a range of organisations.

Local authority and private galleries, art centres, auction houses, stately homes and churches have all been C’Art clients, as well as artists, makers, conservators and individual collectors.

“We will now be able to make the necessary developments required to sustain our business and improve the services that we offer in the vital role of facilitating and supporting the arts and heritage sector throughout the UK,” Partridge adds.

In addition to its aforementioned work, C’Art also provides an emergency recovery service. The firm is based in central England – with easy access to M6, M5 and M54 – and so offers a fast response to clients’ schedules all over England and Wales, with regular trips made to London and Scotland.
