The Arts Council will be giving two talks at this year’s Museums + Heritage Show including a funding update with the Heritage Lottery Fund as well as a talk on the national Mentoring for All scheme alongisde the Museums Association.
But you can also catch members of the Arts Council team in the Ask the Expert Zone for a personal chat. Here’s what to expect from Arts Council’s senior manager for museum development, Isabel Wilson.
What are your goals of participating in this year’s Show?
To update people about the review of the Accreditation Scheme and to make them aware of the new investment opportunity of Project Grants as well as reminding them about our other programmes.
What is your primary role in the sector?
Arts Council England is the national strategic development agency for museums in England.
Why is it important to you to be involved in the Museums + Heritage Show?
It’s a good event which reaches a wide cross-section of the museum community.
What can visitors expect by visiting your stand?
The opportunity to speak directly with a representative from the Arts Council’s national museums team who can answer questions and be open to feedback.
What do you think are some of the key challenges professionals are currently facing in this sector?
