One-to-one sessions will be available to those visiting the Digital Heritage Hub Clinic at the Museums + Heritage Show this May
At this year’s Museums + Heritage Show, a dedicated digital clinic will be available to attendees, offering one-on-one sessions to explore the most pressing issues in the sector.
The Digital Heritage Hub Clinic, run by the Arts Marketing Association (AMA), will be located on Stand X12 at the Museums + Heritage Show, which takes place on the 10-11 May 2023.
Visitors can book 15 minute sessions with the AMA team to discuss their specific digital challenges and will be signposted to hub resources that can support them with solutions.
The Clinic is open to anyone attending the Museums + Heritage Show, particularly those working for a UK heritage organisation.
Topics that can be explored include digital marketing, digitising collections and archives, improving the accessibility of digital content and websites, digital volunteering, and digital leadership.
For the first time this year, the AMA is also set to explore the transition to Google Analytics 4, the rise of AI including ChatGPT, and the environmental sustainability of running digital projects.
AMA’s Senior Programme Producer, Jacqueline Haxton, who manages Digital Heritage Hub, said: “The Digital Heritage Hub Clinic sessions will give visitors the chance to sit down and discuss their digital challenges with the AMA team. We can point you towards support including relevant Hub resources to kickstart your learning.”
Those interested in visiting the Digital Heritage Hub Clinic can book a session here, after registering for a two-day free pass at the Museums + Heritage Show website.
The AMA developed and manages the Digital Heritage Hub, a free online resource library that helps small to medium-sized UK heritage organisations develop their digital skills. Created in partnership with The University of Leeds and The Heritage Digital Consortium, the Hub answers the UK heritage sector’s 100 most pressing and frequently asked digital questions.
It is supported by The Heritage Fund as a key part of their Digital Skills for Heritage initiative.
AMA CEO, Cath Hume on the Digital Heritage Hub added: “Regular access to training and support isn’t always possible for lots of heritage organisations so the aim of the Digital Heritage Hub was to create a free one-stop shop for professionals and volunteers to be able to access expert guidance to develop their digital skills.
“We’re proud that in the year since the Hub launched; it has helped over 7,600 unique users, received over 37,800 page views, and supported UK heritage organisations on their journeys to maximise their digital potential.”
