About Casson Mann Ltd

Casson Mann are museum, exhibition and interior designers.

We transform space, content and media into beautiful, engaging environments. Our clients include many of the world’s leading cultural institutions.

We provide full services for:

  • museum design
  • design of permanent galleries, temporary and touring exhibitions
  • interior design / interior architecture
  • interpretive strategies
  • interpretation production
  • concepts and art direction for all multimedia installations
  • masterplanning

We act as lead consultant, creating bespoke teams for each project. We brief, manage and creatively direct content developers, writers, graphic, lighting sound and software designers, hardware, structural and services engineers, as well as artists, filmmakers and other specialists as necessary.

We are known for the high quality of our installations and thoughtful design. We create beautiful spaces, in which everything contributes to a singular vision – the architecture, fixtures and fittings, the choice of materials and enhancements of light and sound. Visitors find themselves immersed physically and emotionally. They are encouraged to spend time, to explore further, come again.

Our projects use the full range of interpretative techniques to inspire visitors – from stunning artefact displays to sensitive soundscapes, from digital projections to dressing up. Our interest is in finding the right solution for the client, the story and for the audience we wish to engage.

Each project is different. We never arrive with a pre-arranged set of solutions as our designs take root from the content and collections. As we understand the stories, we develop the physical journey for visitors. We will think about pace, about the need for moments of intensity, or relaxation and rest within the experience.
