Eighteen winners across the sector were announced at a ceremony which took place earlier this evening.
The winners of the Museums + Heritage Awards were last night announced at an annual ceremony in London.
Among the 18 awards at this year’s ceremony was Innovator of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year award and the newly introduced Team of the Year award, which was presented to National Museums Liverpool’s Housekeeping Team.
Winners also included The National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War was awarded the Judges’ Special Recognition Award.

Hosted by comedian, podcaster and history presenter Iszi Lawrence, the awards took place in a packed west end venue following the first day of the Museums + Heritage Show.

Anna Preedy, Director of Museums + Heritage Awards commented: “What is wonderful about our awards is the vast range of the entrants – varying from large organisations to small museums – it is one of the only opportunities that people from such a diverse selection of museums get to meet, socialise and be recognised for the wonderful work that happens in our sector.”
