The museum’s Fern the Diplodocus is the subject of this year’s annual Christmas display tradition
The Natural History Museum has continued its now annual tradition of having its T. rex model wear a version of the Christmas jumper it puts on sale.
The animatronic dinosaur is on display wearing a version of jumper and christmas hat, in the museum’s Dinosaur Gallery, in a tracition which started in 2021.
This year’s design features the museum’s Fern the Diplodocus, which was first revealed as it opened its new gardens back in July, and a backdrop of the museum’s South Kensington building.
Natural History Museum expands into theatre with first touring show
Adam Farrar, Director of Commercial and Visitor Experience at the Natural History Museum, said the annual unveiling of the display “has become a firm favourite amongst our audiences”.
Its associated collection has been created for the Museum by notjust, a Manchester based social enterprise and ethical factory, with 100% sustainable organic cotton.
Andrew Will, Director at notjust clothing, added: “We’re proud to be working with the Natural History Museum on this larger than life knit and have revelled in the challenge of making our biggest Christmas jumper yet using a sustainable yarn.”
