Technically Creative: Meet York’s new interactive specialists

Founded by managing director Marc Broadbent, Technically Creative is a fully integrated technology contractor, supplying in house AV alongside lighting design and installation. They create the ultimate in interactive installations

Marc founded Technically Creative because he saw a gap in the market, a gap he knew the company could fill. With over 30 years’ experience within electronics, programming, AV and laser animation projections, and over 12 years’ experience with interactives, Marc has now built a team with over 115 years combined experience around him.

Members of team have worked on projects together such as: Kidzania in London and Abu Dhabi; Walking Dead at Thorpe Park; and the IOC Olympic Museum in Lausanne. From this experience Technically Creative will continue to serve theme parks, Family Entertainment Centres, visitor attractions and museums, with the highest quality installations and exhibits.

The Technically Creative team has grown up within the industry, through apprenticeships to learning in house. One key aspect that sets the Technically Creative team aside from others is that every member has had installation experience, even those who are desk based such as programmers or project managers. This ensures that every member of our team has a thorough understanding of the final goal, and often leads to the team delivering more than expected.

Thanks to this, Technically Creative can continue to offer the unparalleled service that they are quickly becoming known for. Marc’s passion for what he does is evident after speaking with him: “No other job will come close to the excitement of creating what we can imagine! Our only boundary is imagination.” It is clear that this flows throughout the whole team, as every member strives to make each project more magical than the last.

Technically Creative prides itself being a one-stop-shop for all attraction experiences, and being able to offer everything in house is the key to its success. With a team that consists of electronic programmers, electricians, software developers, network engineers, AV engineers and technicians, they have got all of your immersive interaction needs covered.

The team’s skills include concept design, R&D, programming, animation, workshop building, electrical & lighting, AV, Special FX, show control and installations, meaning you really can get it all under one roof.

Currently the team at Technically Creative are hard at work, with projects such as XPLORE, a family entertainment centre in Athens, and many more magical installations on the horizon. You can keep up to date with all the Technically Creative projects by following their website here.
