Paragon Creative works on Mayas: revelation of an endless time at the World Museum, Liverpool

Paragon Creative is proud to have worked on the design, production and installation of the new exhibition at the World Museum in Liverpool, ‘Mayas: Revelation of an Endless Time’.

The ancient Maya was a Mesoamerican civilization which left a far-reaching legacy of architectural, cultural and artistic achievements and the new exhibition showcases their incredible history and culture with 385 stunning objects on display from museums and Maya sites in Mexico and was produced by the Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia (INAH) in Mexico.

Paragon design developed, built and installed the various displays that house the objects within the exhibition. All manufacturing was undertaken in York at our joinery and scenic workshops. Paragon was also responsible for designing and installing the display lighting within the exhibit showcases, including 950 individually dimmable mini LED spotlights to beautifully illuminate these fascinating historical artifacts.

Annie Lord, Head of Museum Exhibitions at National Museums Liverpool said: “Our thanks goes to David Johnson (project manager) and the whole team for their positive and proactive approach throughout the development and delivery of the project. All those involved at NML commented on how smoothly and calmly the exhibition came together particularly given the time scales.”

The exhibition is part of the 2015 Year of Mexico in the United Kingdom and Year of the United Kingdom in Mexico.
