New report looks to gauge happiness of the museums and heritage sector

The Museums + Heritage Happiness Survey will take the temperature of worker within the sector

Museums + Heritage has today launched a new initiative to gauge the happiness of the people who make up the sector.

The report, published by Museums + Heritage Advisor, will anonymously track how people’s happiness is affected by pay, working conditions, opportunities for progression and leadership.

Launched today at the 2024 Museums + Heritage Show, it is open to respondents who are currently working or volunteering in the museums and heritage sector, at any level.

After responses are collected throughout this year, a report published early next year will summarise the results. It will provide insight into the causes of both increases and decreases in happiness.

If you are currently working in the museums and heritage sector and would like to be among the first to anonymously contribute to the survey, please visit this page.

To be first to hear about the report’s publication, please sign-up to the Museums + Heritage Advisor newsletter, or follow us on social media if you are not already.
