The museum, and Tudor house Blakesley Hall, will be open to the public to coincide with the May half-term holiday.
Birmingham Museums Trust has announced it will reopen Soho House in June, to coincide with the May half-term holiday.
The museum, which celebrates the life of industrialist and entrepreneur Matthew Boulton, will be open to the public for three days a week, as will Tudor house Blakesley Hall in the city.
The museum is currently closed except for special events, school visits, venue hire and weddings. Birmingham Museums Trust said it cannot afford to fully open all its Historic Properties at the moment.
Sara Wajid, Joint CEO of Birmingham Museums Trust, said running costs had meant that the charity “could not afford to fully open Blakesley Hall and Soho House as we normally would at Easter.
But, Wajid added: “We’re delighted to now reopen them in time for the May half-term holidays, and there is an exciting programme of events for our visitors to enjoy.”
The opening of Soho House and Blakesley Hall are part of half-term and summer events at Birmingham Museums. The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter, another of the nine museums run by Birmingham Museums Trust, will undergo essential roof repairs over the summer, and will be opened later this year.
