BECK secures its first project in Mexico at Papalote Children’s Museum

November has been a great month for fit-out specialists BECK. After securing the biggest contract in its history last week on the Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre in Kuwait, BECK has now gone on to secure its first project in Mexico.

BECK has been appointed to fit out several galleries in the existing Papalote Museo del Niño (Papalote Children’s Museum), in Mexico City Bosques de Chapultepec.

The original museum, created in 1993, focuses on learning, communication and working together through interactive expositions of science, technology and art for children. The museum has more than 288 interactive exhibits, which are divided into five areas covering subjects such as ecology, human body, science and music.

“Having undertaken museum and heritage projects in North America over the last decade and with the continuing growth of the market, we are thrilled to have secured works at the Papalote Museo del Niño in Mexico City,” said Graham Wakeford, BECK Managing Director. “We hope this will be the first of many projects in Mexico.”
