Interactive entertainment activities will run at major heritage attractions including Stonehenge and Dover Castle throughout summer season.
English Heritage has announced a collaboration with the television programme Taskmaster to deliver entertainment activities across 17 heritage sites during the summer period.
The partnership will present Taskmaster-themed challenges at locations including Stonehenge, Whitby Abbey, and Dover Castle.
The initiative forms part of English Heritage’s visitor engagement strategy, offering interactive experiences that combine entertainment with heritage interpretation.
A total of seventeen sites will participate in the programme, including major attractions such as Dover Castle and Osborne.
Beth Stone, head of visitor engagement and experience at English Heritage, said ‘tasks’ will include “becoming a monarch and making your own laws” and “creating your own solstice”
Alex Horne, creator and co-star of Taskmaster, said: “From the unusual position of being both a parent and a Taskmaster’s assistant I feel confident that this relationship will be a positive one for kids, grown-ups and general fans of heritage.
“It’s nice to go to nice places but it’s even nicer to do fun things in those nice places and this should ensure you can do just that for this summer at least. And Greg agrees with me, so this is official.”
