AIM National Conference

Programme revealed for 2021 AIM conference with culture secretary among speakers

The Association of Independent Museums has revealed the programme for its National Conference 2021, with a line-up of speakers that includes the culture secretary and a range of leading professionals and practitioners.

A varied three-day itinerary of online sessions will take place between 16th and 18th June 2021, with content ranging from practical sessions sharing best practice to virtual networking break-outs.

As with most industry events at present, Covid looms large. Key aims for the conference include exploring the lessons learned from the pandemic and how changes forced on the sector can be leveraged for long-term gain.

These themes will be addressed in sessions such as Leadership challenges in small museums; Succession planning; Tackling inequalities; and The future of volunteering.
