The attempt counted 42 venues across an 11 hour journey around the capital
A new attempt has been made to break the Guinness World Record for The Most Museums Visited in 24 Hours.
Ben Melham, Director of heritage and culture solutions provider Mortice Consulting, claims to have visited 42 museums around London over the course of 11 hours, and covering a distance of 42km in the process.
Evidence of the attempt has been submitted to Guinness World Records. If it is recognised, it would beat the current record holders, Swaroop Dawrani and Sujoy Kumar Mitra, who visitsed 33 museums across Delhi, India, on 5 and 6 January 2024.
Melham, who previously served as Group Head of Estate for the Science Museum Group, took photos inside each of the museums he visited and has posted the evidence to his dedicated Instagram profile, @collectingmuseums.
