Renders reveal new design choices inside the museum, which is set to open at the end of the year in the capital
New design details have been revealed for the world’s first Museum of Youth Culture, set to open in December 2025 at St. Pancras Campus, Georgiana Street, Camden. The 6,500 square foot venue will feature three distinct gallery spaces designed to keep exhibitions constantly rotating.
The museum design includes two rolling galleries showcasing highlights from the permanent collection and archive, alongside a dedicated free gallery space for young creatives to exhibit their work. The layout will accommodate items including band t-shirts, photography, rave flyers, dub soundsystems and school leavers shirts.

Additional spaces include a café, record store, and dedicated areas for educational music production workshops supported by Native Instruments and Plugin Boutique. The workshops will provide access to music-making tools including VST plugins, synth presets, effects, virtual instruments and industry-standard hardware.

Museum founder Jon Swinstead said: “This is more than a place to look back, it’s a space to participate, contribute, and shape the cultural narrative together. Camden has been synonymous with music and youth culture for decades, making it the natural home for the Museum.”

The venue will also accommodate a programme of exhibitions, talks, workshops and community events. The museum is located at St. Pancras Campus, Georgiana Street, Camden NW1 0BY.
