Appointments
- The Foundling Museum has added Sherri Dunbar, Edward Humphrey, Andrew McIntyre and Grayson Perry CBE to its Board of Trustees.
- Glasgow Life, a charity which delivers cultural, sporting and learning activities on behalf of Glasgow City Council, has appointed Susan Deighan as its CEO. The charity is responsible for museums including Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, The Burrell Collection, and the recently reopened People’s Palace.

Repoenings
- After almost two years closed, Windsor & Royal Borough Museum is to reopen. The museum, based at Windsor Guildhall alongside the Royal Windsor Information Centre, closed during lockdown for the installation of a new information desk and updates to the space.
Exhibitions
- A collection of placards used in Black Lives Matter demonstrations across Wales are now on display in the ‘Wales Is’ gallery at St Fagans National Museum of History. The placards were donated to the Amgueddfa Cymru – which is made up of seven museums and a collections centre – following Black Lives Matter demonstrations in the summer of 2020.

Funding
- Liverpool City Council will provide post-pandemic funding to Tate Liverpool as part of a programme which will reward 27 cultural organisations in Liverpool.

- AIM’s Arts Scholars Brighter Day grants, developed predominantly to help smaller museums recover from the ongoing effects of the Covid pandemic, have been announced. The funding, via Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars Charitable Trust, consists of conservation grants of up to £8,000 and collections care audits open to non-Accredited museums and local authority and independent museums that are registered charities.
Events
- The 2022 Working Internationally Conference, organised by ICOM UK, is hosting a two day conference, ‘Cynefin – Museum Practice for Future Generations’. The conference, with partnership from the National Museum Directors’ Council, the Federation of Museums & Art Galleries of Wales, with support from the British Council and Barker Langham is hosting
- National Museums Liverpool (NML) has unveiled its ‘Museum Sessions’, a set of musical performances filmed inside its venues which will be published to YouTube later this month. Among the acts is singer Låpsley, whose performance takes place in the aquarium at the World Museum on 16 March.
