A police box piranha tank artwork is relocated for public viewing while officials consider long-term placement options
A recent Banksy artwork has been relocated by the City of London, with help from London Museum staff.
The artist’s recent piece saw a City of London Police sentry box transformed into a tank of piranhas, one of a handful of animal-themed pieces to have appeared in the area in recent weeks.
A City of London representative explained that the artwork had since been moved to the South Ambulatory of the Guildhall Yard “to ensure it is properly protected and can be viewed safely by the public.”
“The relocation was carefully managed by a conservator from the London Museum and a removals team organised by our security team”.

“Members of the public will be able to see the artwork through the glass.
“The artwork will remain in this location for up to six months while we explore options for its medium and long-term future.”
A permanent home for the piece, which could include a nearby museum, will be decided in due course, the representative said.
