Leith’s have a packed calendar of summer events including festivals from Hever Castle in Kent, to Dartmouth House in London
With more than 50 years of experience, Leith’s is a well-recognised and loved brand in venue catering, serving food and drink in iconic historic and cultural venues, as well as serving tens of thousands delegates across the UK.
Founded by Prue Leith, CBE, in 1962, Leith’s was one of the first event caterers in the country with a relentless work ethic of its founder and the passion for simple, seasonal cuisine – be it a cheese and ham sarnie or a classic dish served from Scotland’s larder at the EICC.
Half a century later and the Leith’s business strongly believes in its commitment to meet the mantra of ‘Simply Better’. ‘Simple’, meaning being honest and straightforward with clients, suppliers and staff and, ‘Better’, being greater than their competitors, and better than guests’ expectations.
Leith’s has always been a front runner in the events business and we are proud to still work with some of the clients who we first started with; from the high profile EICC in Edinburgh to the QEII Centre in central London – a venue which remains our longest running partner to date.
Leith’s also manages some of the country’s most magnificent and unique treasures, with houses including Leeds Castle – ‘the most beautiful castle in the world’ – Beaulieu and its stunning collection of cars, to Glyndebourne – an exquisite country house synonymous with world class opera and summer alfresco dining.
For all Leith’s venues, providing the best food possible is the highest priority. Buying fresh from local suppliers and using ingredients at their peak flavour ensures that we deliver quality time after time – for example, we work with a local cheesemaker, Alsop & Walker of Mayfield, to create Glyndebourne’s very own cheese.
Looking ahead to the coming months, we have a number of exciting events on show, we’ll be showcasing our culinary skills and bringing our Leith’s brand to life. Events to look out for are:
May Day Festival at Hever Castle – 30 April – 2 May
Glyndebourne Festival – 21 May – 28 August
Remaining quintessentially British and true to what we set out to do, Leith’s has always had a commitment to fresh, British cuisine with the premise to be ‘simply better’ – and that still rings true today throughout all our venues – something we look forward to continuing over the coming months.
