The Mammals Gallery at the Natural History Museum
The Chessington-headquartered company has previously worked with major UK museums
A fit-out specialist with a long history of work with major museums and galleries has filed notice of intention to appoint administrators.
Beck Interiors became an employee-ownership trust (EOT) in 2021, and has worked on major museum projects alongside the hospitality and leisure sector.
The company’s recent projects included the fit-out of the Mammals Gallery at the Natural History Museum, the base build and fit-out of the Energy Revolution Gallery at The Science Museum, and the fit-out of Blackpool’s new Showtown Museum.
A winding-up petition was filed last month against the company by Mitsubishi Electric, supported by five other creditors.
The Chessington-headquartered company began as a traditional joinery shop in Guildford 30 years ago. In 1999 it moved to Chessington and expanded facilities to incorporate a head office.
Beck Interiors has been approached for comment.
