Summer Series

First details revealed for Museums + Heritage Summer Series 2021

This July will see the return of the Museums + Heritage Summer Series. The two-day virtual conference will feature a dozen specialised sessions focussing on key topics of discussion and innovation throughout the sector.

Panels and talks held on 14th and 15th July will explore subject matter such as the changing terrain of social media, how to achieve the perfect blend of in-person and online offer, how to make the most of your workforce’s varied skillsets, and the ways in which to keep visitors and staff happy and healthy.

Standalone sessions will also take a look at areas such as the development of new working arrangements to avoid siloes and innovative approaches to underrepresented LGBTQ+ stories held within collections.

Following the lead of the Museums + Heritage Awards, the event will debut a ‘Pay What You Can Afford’ ticketing model to ensure anyone who wants to access content is able to do so.

In another step taken to minimise the number of attendees unable to participate in sessions due to other commitments, bookings will be offered for specific talks rather than the event as a whole. The booking platform will go live as soon as the official programme is published.

Speakers will be announced shortly, with high-profile figures contributing from all sizes of museums and heritage organisations.
