Brunel’s SS Great Britain launches ‘ultimate’ £250 VIP tour

A new ‘ultimate’ tour has been launched at Brunel’s SS Great Britain in Bristol,which spans its Dockyard Museum, Being Brunel museum and the SS Great Britain ship at

The tour experience, priced at £250 per person, has been designed to support the conservation charity’s work to save the ship’s iron hull, it said.

The experience provides visitors with access to the entire ship, including behind-the-scenes in its Conservation Suite, access to its experts, dining, and gifts.

The private tour can be accompanied by one of the museum’s Collections and Research team – among them Brunel biographer and Director of the Brunel Institute Tim Bryan; Head of Collections, Joanna Mathers; Head of Research, James Boyd ; and Nicola Grahamslaw, the Ship’s Conservation Engineer. It will allow visitors to choose a collection item to view up-close in the Brunel Institute.

Taking place between 9am and 2pm, the tour starts with coffee and pastries, a mezze-style lunch, and private-dining with views of Bristol’s harbour, and finishes with a goody bag from the shop museum’s shop.

Admissions also includes an Annual Ticket.
