The Dudley living museum joins a cohort of more than 100 participating organisations in the UK

Dudley’s Black Country Living Museum has joined an accelerator programme for UK and US cultural organisations, designed to improve digital infrastructure.

The Bloomberg Philanthropies Digital Accelerator Program programme’s cohort includes more than 200 participating organisations, 134 of which are in the UK.

“We’re thrilled to have been selected to participate in what will be a transformative project for us,” said Sam Davies, Systems and Processes Business Partner at the Black Country Living Museum.

“Through the programme we’ll develop a comprehensive ticketing, membership, and customer management system, establishing a digital-first approach and a seamless online experience for our visitors and members.”

The initiative is designed to improve cultural organisations to strengthen technology and management practices to improve operations, drive revenue, increase fundraising, engage broader audiences, and deliver dynamic programming.

The museum is currently closed, and is expected to reopen 25 January 2025.
