ACCIONA Producciones y Diseño rebrands as ACCIONA Cultural Engineering

ACCIONA’s business division dedicated to museums and events has become ACCIONA Cultural Engineering following a rebranding exercise as the firm restructures

The launch of the new brand identity heralds the culmination of Spanish events agency Auriga’s integration within the ACCIONA company.

The change sees the newly-formed ACCIONA Cultural Engineering become the largest European company to specialise in the museums sector, pooling experience from projects in 38 countries and an annual involvement in 800 events.

The rebranding, it is hoped, will reinforce the firm’s commitment to cultural engineering. The company has worked on cultural engineering initiatives including an immersive audio-visual show that marked the Prado Museum’s 200th anniversary in Madrid.

With its new name, ACCIONA Cultural Engineering will centre its philosophy on innovation, creativity and the use of technology to create memorable experiences – at both large-scale events and in museums. These experiences will seek to shine light on the cultural heritage, tradition and history of cities, countries and companies alike.

This same philosophy will be reflected throughout the division’s other activities, which include trade shows and corporate events, where technology, innovation and creativity will be used to create new and disruptive formats.

ACCIONA Cultural Engineering, in line with within the corporate culture of parent company ACCIONA, integrates sustainability in all its projects and follows an overarching commitment to zero emissions. Each and every event delivered by the company is carbon neutral.

International growth remains a strong priority, with its teams working across its network of eight offices situated in Madrid, Seville, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Mexico City, Cairo and Riyadh.

Auriga, acquired by ACCIONA in 2019, was recently named best agency for events, promotions, brand activation and direct marketing by El Publicista. This takes the combined portfolio of ACCIONA businesses to a total of 122 international awards for design, technical innovation and sustainability.

ACCIONA Cultural Engineering’s past work includes projects such as the National Museum of Oman, the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center in Yekaterinburg and the National Museum of Qatar multimedia productions.

Current projects under way also include the Grand Egyptian Museum and also the Sustainability and UAE Pavilions for the upcoming Dubai Expo.
