About Vitrinen- und Glasbau REIER GmbH

Vitrinen- und Glasbau REIER GmbH is a leading German display case manufactory specialising in museum display cases, exhibition furnishings, glass constructions and other solutions for museums. Based in Lauta, Saxony, the company combines craftsmanship, engineering expertise and conservation-focused technology to create display solutions for museums, galleries, cultural institutions and exhibition projects worldwide.

We support our customers from the very first enquiry. From initial consultation, technical advice and design development to engineering, manufacturing, delivery and on-site installation, we provide a structured and reliable project process from one source. This early advisory approach helps our clients define the right display solution for their objects, spaces, conservation requirements and exhibition concepts.

What distinguishes us is our strong in-house manufacturing depth. As a display case manufactory, we carry out the key work processes within our own company – from sales and design engineering, glass processing, metalwork and wood construction to powder coating, electrical engineering, assembly, shipping and installation. This integrated structure gives us direct control over quality, coordination and production schedules. It is a decisive advantage for reliable delivery, precise execution and consistently high manufacturing standards.
Every REIER display case is engineered around the specific requirements of the object, the exhibition concept and the museum environment. Design, functionality, safety, climate stability, lighting, materials and handling are considered as part of one precise technical solution. The result is museum technology that protects valuable cultural assets while presenting them with clarity, restraint and elegance.

A central focus of our work is preventive conservation. In cooperation with recognised research institutes, we analyse the impact of lighting, climate and harmful emissions on exhibits and apply these findings to the development of new technologies and products.
We are ISO 9001 certified and have completed approx. 4,000 projects for 2,500 customers in 37 countries. With around 80 employees from 25 professional groups, we bring together specialist knowledge from multiple trades under one roof.

From standard display cases to individual designed and engineered special constructions, we stand for reliable museum technology made in Germany — from consultancy to installation, with the expertise, process control and manufacturing depth required to deliver demanding projects on time and to a high standard.
