About 1956 Individuals

1956 Individuals is a conversational AI platform the delivers AI Avatars designed for real-world environments. These avatars engage people in real-time exchanges, while connecting into operational systems and triggering workflows behind the scenes.

Built on a foundation of creative technology and enterprise integration by the Suffolk-based team at SKC Studios, the platform transforms static information into something dynamic: information you can talk to. Visitors, customers, or guests can ask questions naturally, receive accurate answers and, where appropriate, trigger defined actions. For organisations, this means stronger engagement, reduced routine demand, and greater capacity to focus on higher-value interactions.

The technology lends itself particularly well to experiences and attractions, including heritage sites, museums, themed environments and public spaces, where clarity, continuity and scale are essential.

The platform supports two complementary approaches: Assets and Utility.

Assets are avatars that define the experience. They carry story, context, and interpretation, grounded in approved content and responsible governance. Real-world projects include AI Queen Eleanor at Leeds Castle, and AI William Gladstone, the world’s first AI Prime Minister, currently in development for the Museum of the Prime Minister. In cultural settings, these avatars interpret, respond and adapt in real-time, allowing visitors to shape their own journeys.

Utility avatars allow experiences to operate at scale. These are embedded, operational avatars that handle wayfinding, practical questions, ticketing, bookings, and system-level support. The Modality Partnership and NHS collaboration is a strong example, with digital receptionists and pre-appointment consultation avatars supporting first contact and service routing.

What differentiates the platform is its ability to move beyond dialogue into action. Avatars can trigger workflows, retrieve or update records, and integrate securely with CRMs and booking platforms.

Features such as Journeys connect multiple avatars across an environment, with explicit consent, allowing each interaction to build on the last for a consistent experience.

Additional features include SKC Lenses, ensuring responses draw only on client-approved information, and Sparkles, a picture-in-picture capability that surfaces maps or images during conversations.

Every deployment is designed for long-term use, governed by clear disclosure, consent-first approaches, multilingual access, and defined client boundaries, ensuring accuracy, sustainability and trust.
