M+H Show: 95% of professionals recommend sector event to peers

Attendees identify access to sector leaders, implementable strategies and networking opportunities as core strengths.

The Museums + Heritage Show has established itself as essential professional development for the sector, with a new survey data revealing 95% of attendees would recommend the event to colleagues.

Post-event feedback indicates the show has become indispensable, with multiple respondents describing the event as “not to be missed” in the museum professional’s calendar.

Attendees consistently identify access to sector leaders, new implementable strategies, and networking opportunities as the event’s core strengths.

One attendee described it as “a brilliant chance to engage with the rest of the heritage world and pick up tips from professionals at the top of their game.”

The emphasis on practical application distinguishes the event from traditional conferences. “It’s not just the big things, it’s the small deliverable ideas that flow as you listen to inspiring speakers,” one attendee wrote.

Another said: “I came away with a pad full of ideas and a head full of notions that I look forward to irritating as many of my colleagues with as possible.”

Survey responses highlight the value of comprehensive sector coverage in a single venue, with one respondent noting: “The breadth of seminars mean that there is something for everyone in the museum or heritage business.”

Free registration remains a draw, particularly as cultural institutions face budget pressures. One attendee described the Museums + Heritage Show as “Diverse, relevant and free!”

Repeat attendance appears common. “It gets better every year,” one professional wrote. “More ideas, more solutions, more products, more good advice than you can shake a stick at.”

The Museums + Heritage Show takes place on 13-14 May 2026.
